“Will It Snow For Christmas?” covers the romantic relationship between these four main characters:

Cha Kang-Jin (Ko Soo) grew up without a father and had a difficult childhood. As a teenager his mother Chun-Hee moved Kang-Jin and his brother to her small hometown of Sancheong. Chun-Hee then opens up a cheap coffee parlor (“dabang”) that attracts men. In Sancheong, Kang-Jin meets Ji-Won (Han Ye-Seul) whose father practices traditional oriental medicine.

Kang-Jin and Ji-Won feel attracted to each other, but tragedy soon strikes. Kang-Jin had a cherished pendant that belonged to his father, but the pendent is accidentally dropped into the river. Ji-Won feeling pity for Kang-Jin, asked her brother Ji-Yong to retrieve the necklace from the river. Ji-Yong, while attempting to retrieve the necklace, then drowns to death. Grief stricken Ji-Won then runs away from town, but first tells Kang-Jin that she never loved him or liked his mother.

Eight years later, Kang-Jin is a team leader at Beomyang Corporation. He meets Ji-Won once again on the day of her engagement to Min Tae-Jun (Song Jong-Ho). One night, Jae-Chan dreams that Yoo-Beom drives Hong-Joo’s car and this leads to a chain of events including the death of Hong-Joo’s mother and then Hong-Joo. When Jae-Chan senses that his dream is about to become real, he takes extreme action to stop it. Yoo-Beom becomes furious at Jae-Chan, but Hong-Joo hugs him and thanks him. Jae-Chan and Hong-Joo later work together to solve other cases.

In 2005, Jung-Joo (Kang So-Ra) flies to Jeju Island while holding a picture of her father and a woman. Jung-Joo did research on the woman in the picture and became convinced the woman is her mother and her son Gun-Woo (Yoo Yeon-Seok) is her twin brother (as they have the same birthday). Gun-Woo also has an older brother Jung-Geun (Lee Sung-Jae) and older sister Hee-Ra (Ok Go-Woon), but the siblings have different fathers.

On Jeju Island, a birthday party is held for Gun-Woo. There, Jung-Joo tells Gun-Woo that they are twins, but they later overhear Gun-Woo’s mother telling her daughter that she doesn’t know the man in the picture.

In 2015, Jung-Joo now works for an undergarment company. Her position at the company is on shaky grounds. She is set to buy an apartment when she receives a video message from her younger brother telling her that he is about to buy a house on Jeju Island to turn into a cafe. Jung-Joo freaks out and rushes to the airport. She wants to stop her younger brother. At the airport, Jung-Joo runs across Gun-Woo. He is also going to Jeju Island.

Gun-Woo runs the restaurant “Maendorong Ttottot” on Jeju Island. He opened up the restaurant for a woman he likes, but he now wants to sell the restaurant. Gun-Woo learns that Jung-Joo’s younger brother wants to open up a cafe there. Gun-Woo offers to sell his restaurant to her younger brother, but Jung-Joo declines.

While looking for her younger brother on Jeju Island, she sees her boyfriend on a honeymoon and receives a phone call from her boss informing her that she is fired. Jung-Joo becomes devastated. Gun-Woo then appears and takes her to his restaurant “Maendorong Ttottot.”
